You wouldn’t think you’d find a place as serene as Doha Sands Beach Club in between the hustle and bustle of West Bay, but that’s what you get for judging a book by its cover, you’re constantly surprised by what Qatar keeps throwing your way.
As I stepped onto the soft, golden sands, I immediately sensed the peaceful vibes that envelop this coastal paradise. The tranquil atmosphere is the perfect remedy for those seeking respite from the daily grind. The calming sound of gentle waves lapping at the shore sets the stage for my day of pure relaxation.
The main attraction at Doha Sands Beach Club is, without a doubt, the mesmerizing waters of the Arabian Gulf. The crystal-clear, azure waters invite you to take a refreshing dip, letting all your worries float away. Whether you're swimming, snorkeling or simply wading in the shallows, the sensation of being surrounded by the Gulf's pristine waters is nothing short of enchanting.
While relaxation was my primary goal, I also craved a bit of adventure. Doha Sands surprised me with its range of activities. The beach volleyball court, nestled amid the soft sands, became a hub of laughter and friendly competition. I watched as a group of friends rallied and spiked, all the while taking in the gentle breeze and the warmth of the sun.
For a change of pace, the beach club also has teqball tables. Teqball, a fusion of football and table tennis, is an absolute delight. I found myself engrossed in the exhilarating matches taking place right in front of me. The backdrop of the Gulf only added to the magic of those games.
As the day unfolded, my appetite grew from all the watching and relaxing, and Doha Sands has a delightful array of dining options to satiate my beachside cravings. From burgers, to salads, to colourful fruity slushies, every choice seems to be the perfect complement to the sun-kissed setting!
The beverages really stole the show, though! Chilled fruit juices, and ice-cold slushies were the order of my day that afternoon. I watched the sun dip below the horizon, casting a mesmerizing palette of colors across the sky. It was a moment of pure contentment.
And just like that, my beach day came to a close.
